Job description

For one of our clients, a bank located in Luxembourg City, we are looking for a ServiceNow Developer – ITOM Module.

Activity Description:

Technical and Strategic Responsibilities:

  • Configure the ITOM module of ServiceNow (Discovery and Service Mapping).

  • Databases: DB2, Oracle

  • Network equipment: Cisco Catalyst

  • Application servers: Tomcat, WebSphere

  • Cloud platforms and containers: OpenShift

  • Workstation management: Microsoft Intune

  • Develop and maintain the necessary artifacts (templates, scripts, and all related configurations) to support ITOM.

  • Organize and lead technical workshops with infrastructure and application managers.

  • Gather requirements, validate Discovery results, and define integration strategies.

  • Provide expert advice on ITOM best practices and CMDB data quality.

  • Ensure compliance with the organization’s best practices and standards.

  • Integrate Discovery results into the CMDB and ensure data normalization and reconciliation.

Collaboration:

  • Work within an existing Agile team, participating in ceremonies (daily meetings, sprint planning, retrospectives).

  • Collaborate with the internal CMDB team—composed of CMDB Stewards, ServiceNow developers, and CMDB architects—to ensure consistent, efficient, and scalable management of the configuration database.

  • Contribute to backlog refinement and provide estimates for ITOM-related tasks.

Job requirements

Your Profile:

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in ServiceNow development, with a specialization in ITOM modules.

  • Mandatory ServiceNow certifications.

  • Hands-on experience implementing Discovery in heterogeneous environments.

  • Strong understanding of CMDB architecture and data model.

  • Familiarity with related technologies: DB2, Oracle, Cisco Catalyst, Tomcat, WebSphere, Intune, OpenShift.

  • Experience working in Agile environments and facilitating technical workshops.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent teamwork skills, especially when collaborating with CMDB Stewards, ServiceNow developers, and CMDB architects.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders.

  • Analytical mindset, able to identify inconsistencies, gaps, and improvement opportunities in CMDB data and processes.

  • Curiosity and willingness to stay up to date with the latest ServiceNow platform developments, ITOM best practices, and CMDB governance standards.
