JAVA Fullstack Developer

For one of our clients, an insurance company located in Leudelange, we are looking for JAVA FULLSTACK developers.

Our client is looking for several consultants to work on a long-term mission in the Local Market Contracts domain, organized around a multidisciplinary team operating according to Agile methodologies (Kanban and Scrum).

Main missions:

Within this team, you will be required to:

• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and practices.

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and monitor applications mainly in Java 8.

• Maintain and evolve APIs developed in Scala as well as frontend interfaces based on Dojo.

• Contribute to the progressive modernization of the application heritage.

• Develop functional and technical expertise on strategic areas of the domain.

• Participate in the integration of new solutions and architectures.

• Use artificial intelligence solutions (MIA, Claude, etc.) daily to improve the quality, maintainability, and productivity of development.

• Create and maintain automated tests in scala with Playwright.

• Participate in the developer community to share best practices and feedback.

• Support the skills development of your colleagues through pair programming, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.

Skills required:

Front-End - Essential

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Ability to consume and integrate REST APIs.

Back-End - Essential

• Excellent command of object-oriented programming (Java 8 and +).

• Experience with relational databases, ideally DB2.

• Knowledge of REST API design and development.

Appreciated

• Knowledge of functional programming (Scala).

• Experience in maintaining asynchronous Bash processes.

• Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB).

• Knowledge of COBOL language (maintenance of applications migrated to Java).

• Experience with event-driven architectures and Kafka.

• Use of JSON standard: API.

Desired experience:

• 5 years or more in Full stack Java development (ideally in an Agile environment)

Technical and methodological qualities

• Mastery of the entire software development cycle.

• Ability to propose, argue, and implement architectural choices.

• Experience with continuous integration and deployment practices (Kubernetes, etc.).

• Use of monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog or Sentry.

• Familiarity with source code management tools, especially Git.

• Experience with unit and automated testing frameworks (Playwright).
