Backup & Storage Engineer (Ref: 2)

For one of our clients, we are looking for a backup and storage engineer

Your mission: You will join a team responsible for the validation, installation, and maintenance of Storage and Backup infrastructures.

The tasks within the team are:

• Ensure the installation (Hardware/Software) of Storage and Backup infrastructure.

• Ensure the maintenance of Storage and Backup infrastructures

• Provide support to our clients.

• Ensure technical standby duty on a rotating basis.

• Technical support to pre-sales engineers to write service offers as part of Storage/Backup projects and responses to RFPs.

• Monitor new technologies and evaluate new products in our laboratory.

• Deliver technical presentations to our clients.

Your profile:

You have a good knowledge of all or part of the following technologies:

Mandatory:

• Backup Software: CommVault and/or Veeam -> mastery of another backup software will be an advantage.

• Knowledge of SAN/NAS protocols: FC/FCOE/ISCSI/CIFS/NFS

• Hypervisor: VMware and/or Hyper-V (Knowledge of 'Hyperconverged' solutions)

• OS: Microsoft Windows Servers and Linux

• French and English are mandatory.

Advantageous:

• Understanding of Object Storage (Ex: Netapp StorageGrid)

• Cloud Services: Amazon Web Services/Google Cloud/Microsoft Azure

• Netapp and/or HP, EMC, HDS, Pure Storage storage arrays

• SAN Switches Brocade / Cisco

• Luxembourgish, German

• Organizational, planning, troubleshooting, and management skills in operating a critical system

• Writing skills to organize, structure, and formalize (reports & processes)
