Job description

On behalf of our main client operating as the diplomatic service of the EU, we are actively seeking a C2 Expert to join a dynamic team part of the EU military staff (EUMS) to plan and execute military command and control (C2) arrangements for EU-led crisis management operations and missions.

As an Expert C2, you will be responsible for ensuring clear and effective communication, coordination, and decision-making among the different levels of command, from the political-strategic level to the tactical level. You will also contribute to the development of new concepts, doctrines, and capabilities for C2 in the EU context.

Tasks:

  • Communicate with military and civilian stakeholders (e.g., EUMS, MPCC, CPCC) in order to coordinate activities, get needs, share ideas.

  • Elicit the military business requirements and transform them – or support an analyst in the transformation – into Software Requirements.

  • Develop and/or implement training plans concerning Command and Control (C2) or other military software.

  • Reinforce cooperation between the EU and NATO by improving military software skills and integrating lessons learned into change management.

Job requirements

Knowledge and skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in the military domain (not necessarily as a soldier), or in the emergency domain.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in information system security.

  • Knowledge of C2 systems.

  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-498 software development methodology.

  • Knowledge of tactical symbologies (e.g., APP-6, UN OCHA) (nice to have).
