Senior Consultant in Oracle Database Administration (réf.: 336)

Main Objective:

Our company is actively seeking a competent individual to fill the role of Database Administration Specialist. The holder of this position will be responsible for the setup, administration, and migration of various databases within our IT infrastructure.

Main Responsibilities:

The main responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure the administration of Oracle and PostgreSQL components with rigor and precision;

• Oversee the migration processes of Oracle databases ensuring their integrity and security;

• Proactively manage backup and restore operations to ensure data continuity;

• Closely monitor database performance and promptly intervene to resolve any incidents or degradation;

• Be available to provide occasional standby support when required, demonstrating a commitment to system stability and availability.

The mission will be entirely carried out on the client's site.

Requirements for the position:

The eligibility criteria for the position are as follows:

1. Holder of a graduate degree in computer science or engineering.

2. Demonstrated experience as a DBA specialized in Oracle and PostgreSQL environments, particularly on Linux systems.

3. Expertise in migrating Oracle 12c databases to 19c.

4. Prior experience in installing and maintaining PostgreSQL databases.

5. Ability to independently conduct large-scale database migrations using tools such as XTTS, RMAN CONVERT, and Datapump.

6. Proven experience in Oracle Migration from 1 to 3 years.

7. Experience in Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control

8. Experience in Oracle Linux

9. Experience in PostgreSQL

10. Proven experience with RMAN from 1 to 3 years

11. Proficient in English and French for professional use
