Senior DevOps Engineer Job Description

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for managing our API and automation platform capabilities using technologies like Kong, Gravitee, and Tyk. You will design, deploy, and maintain secure gateway services within Kubernetes environments (EKS, OpenShift, TKGI), ensuring consistent API exposure and automating workflows.

• Implement scalable cloud solutions based on reference architecture.

• Develop CI/CD pipelines for code deployment.

• Automate infrastructure provisioning to enhance efficiency.

• Create reusable building blocks for applications.

• Collaborate with security teams for compliance.

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications.

• Conduct system troubleshooting and problem resolution.

• Stay updated on cloud computing and DevOps trends.

Professional Skills

• Strong understanding of cloud computing technology and infrastructure.

• Solid knowledge of cloud-native architecture principles.

• Expertise with enterprise API Gateway platforms.

• Experience with workflow/orchestration platforms.

• Integration of API Gateway + orchestration into a platform ecosystem.

• Knowledge of infrastructure as code and automation tools.

• Familiarity with GitOps principles and tooling.

• Extensive experience with CI/CD tools.

• Understanding of Platform Engineering principles.

• Knowledge of observability principles and tools.

• Understanding of network, security, and database architecture.

• Familiarity with Integration platforms.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications/Experience

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Cloud/DevOps Senior roles.

• Strong portfolio of successful cloud projects.

• Professional certifications in cloud platforms and technologies are desirable.

• Experience leading cross-functional teams.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.

Requirements

• Fluency in English (written and spoken) required; proficiency in another European language is a plus.

• DevOps role may require shift work.

• Mandatory on-call rotation covering 7 consecutive days, including weekends.
