Job description

As a Senior Backup & Storage Team Leader, you have a primary operational role overseeing operational services within a designated Service Module.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting analysis and proposing configurations

  • Defining architecture and reference configurations

  • Maintaining the Configuration Management Database (CMDB)

  • Managing decommissioning processes

  • Establishing policies for Storage devices

  • Setting up and maintaining Backup tool and application modules

  • Performing Storage Area Network tasks

  • Ensuring standard-based deployments

  • Conducting periodic vulnerability analyses

  • Installing updates and patches

  • Executing routine maintenance activities

  • Monitoring Backup and Storage infrastructures

  • Resolving incidents using ServiceNow

  • Performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

  • Handling service requests and resolutions

  • Generating reports on services infrastructure

  • Collaborating with customers and providers

Job requirements

Technical Skills and Qualifications

It is imperative that candidates possess a high level of proficiency in a range of technical tools and systems. The following tools are considered mandatory for this position:

Data Protection Technologies

  • Commvault

Storage Area Network (SAN)

  • SAN (Brocade)

Storage Infrastructure

  • Storage infrastructure, particularly with Hitachi systems

  • PureStorage

  • NetApp NAS storage arrays, including FASxxxx and AFFxxx models with Snapmirror capabilities

  • DELL PowerScale (Isilon)

  • NetApp StorageGrid S3 Objectstorage

Additional Desirable Skills

  • Experience with Cloudian S3 Objectstorage Area

  • Familiarity with HYCU

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl or Python

  • Knowledge of automation tools like Ansible and Terraform

Soft Skills and Profile Requirements

Aside from technical competencies, candidates are expected to meet certain soft skills and profile qualifications. The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in Backup & Storage operations within a large-scale environment;

  • A university degree or equivalent professional training in a related field;

  • Demonstrated ability as a quick learner with a strong aptitude for self-study;

  • Excellent communication skills, with a structured and process-oriented approach to tasks;

  • Proficiency in English at a minimum of B2 Level, with knowledge of French considered advantageous;

  • The ability to work independently with exceptional time management skills;

  • An enthusiastic attitude towards working in a dynamic, customer-focused multinational environment.
