For one of our clients, an insurance company located in Luxembourg City, we are looking for a Business Analyst - Compliance

Mission Context

To support them in their projects, to strengthen the IT Compliance team, our client is looking for a Business Analyst to reinforce the team, mainly on AML/KYC topics.

The profile should therefore be comfortable with AML/KYC concepts such as customer reviews, whether on the process or technical side (web applications, exchange flows between computer applications…).

Mission Description - Scope of Intervention

From a project perspective, he/she will have to:

• Ensure the consideration of clients' needs (internal/external) in projects / business applications for which the employee is responsible

• Ensure the alignment of project developments with business operational processes

• Ensure the writing of functional and technical requirement documents

• Ensure the functional validation of the IT solution

• Contribute to updating/enriching functional test cases in correlation with the changes made within the IT solution

• Contribute to user acceptance testing

• Contribute to change management

• Ensure functional support during the project warranty period

From an application support perspective, he/she will have to:

• Ensure the consideration of clients' needs (internal/external) in business applications for which he/she is responsible.

• Ensure functional support for tools and applications.

In all cases he/she:

• Ensures a quality welcome and a professional response to internal and external requests,

• Ensures the confidentiality of documents used in projects.

• Ensures the proper application of the clean desk procedure.

In his role as a project Business Analyst, he/she collaborates with the company's end clients, project managers, developers & architects, according to the methodology in place and respecting the deadlines defined within the projects by:

• Using the project engineering deliverables templates used by our client.

• Ensuring the study of existing processes, activities, and tools through business workshops and document analysis.

• Ensuring the definition of the target at the process, activity, and tool levels through business workshops and document analysis.

• Identifying and analyzing gaps and potential functional impacts.

• Writing requirements through business workshops.

• Supporting IT teams during the phases of writing technical analyses and developing the IT solution through workshops with dedicated teams.

• Writing functional test cases.

• Performing functional acceptance tests and recording the results obtained.

• Coordinating business acceptance testing.

• Implementing the change management plan: by writing training materials and/or user guides for delivered features, by conducting training sessions if necessary.

• Providing functional and technical support for tools and applications during the project warranty period.

In his role as a support Business Analyst, he/she collaborates with the company's end clients by:

• Ensuring the receipt and processing of requests/problems from internal operational entities regarding support requests and corrective/evolutive maintenance of various business applications.

• Providing functional support to end users by applying support and investigation techniques (reproducing problematic cases in a pre-production environment, using knowledge bases, database investigation).

• Ensuring the follow-up of the portfolio of requests under his/her responsibility.

• Ensuring the monitoring and resolution of evolutive and corrective maintenance requests regarding various business applications.

• Performing acceptance tests using dedicated processes and deliverables during application release phases or for a specific fix-pack.

• Identifying and implementing improvement actions to enhance service quality and efficiency.

• Managing the synchronization/coordination and communication of application releases.

Job requirements

Description of the technical and/or functional environment of the mission

• Hardware: PC with Windows;

• Software: Office Suite, Confluence, Jira, Solife, SQL Server, Web Tools;

• Other: Life insurance (Retail & Wealth), AML/KYC, Lean Six Sigma;

Prerequisites / Essential agreed elements

• AGILE / SCRUM Project Methodology - PRINCE2 or at least KANBAN practice;

• Web Application and Webservices operation principle

• Knowledge and application of testing methodologies especially on web applications or inter-application flows

• Knowledge of AML/KYC topics and especially their application in Luxembourg insurance companies

• Knowledge and application of automation or process review methodologies (Lean Six Sigma)

• Knowledge of regulatory reporting related to Luxembourg financial sector companies and especially insurance (CAA, MIFID, EMIR,…)

• Knowledge of Life Insurance business in Luxembourg and LPS

• Experience in projects using artificial intelligence would be a plus
