Test Manager (Mainframe Environment)

For one of our clients, a bank located in Luxembourg City, we are looking for a Test Manager with solid knowledge of Mainframe environments (z/OS, JCL, DB2…).

Main Responsibilities

Support the Bank in coordinating and better managing the ENP through the following tasks:

Strategic:

Governance

• Establish a clear framework for ENP management: roles, responsibilities, and processes.

• Define and standardize ITSM workflows for ENP management (request management, IT change, incidents, and problem management).

Continuous Improvement

• Identify recurring irritants and inefficiencies in ENP.

• Propose and implement corrective and optimization actions (quality, deadlines, automation).

• Document best practices and contribute to the maturity of the domain.

Operational:

Planning & Coordination

• Organize the provision, maintenance, and synchronization of ENP.

• Establish a shared schedule with project, test, and technical teams.

• Ensure coordination between Business and technical teams (Mainframe, Development, Test, and Release Management) in the proper use of ENP.

Reporting

• Establish simple indicators: usage, availability, performance, incident.

• Produce regular reporting for IT department managers.

Technical Skills

• Solid knowledge of Mainframe environments (z/OS, JCL, DB2…).

• Experience in coordinating test or operational environments.

• Knowledge in project management for implementing governance and continuous improvements.

• Basic knowledge in software testing (ISTQB Foundation).

• Good organizational, communication, and prioritization skills.

• Organize regular meetings with user teams (Development, Test, Infrastructure, Data) to improve environment management and efficiency.

• Leadership and ability to motivate multidisciplinary teams.

• Strong oral and written communication skills as well as negotiation skills to interact effectively with various stakeholders.

• Analytical mindset and solution-oriented approach.
