Position Available: Linux & DevOps Infrastructure Architect
We are currently in search of a highly skilled Linux & DevOps Infrastructure Architect to spearhead the conceptualization and advancement of our on-premises compute platforms (Debian-based), cloud infrastructure (AWS), and associated services. The ideal candidate will possess profound expertise in Linux, a robust understanding of cloud architecture, and a mastery of DevOps best practices to construct scalable and resilient platforms tailored for hybrid environments.
Primary Duties:
Linux & Compute Platform Architecture:
Define and oversee the creation of standardized images for Debian-based systems.
Formulate and uphold a high-availability virtualization infrastructure utilizing ESX and Nutanix.
Architect and fine-tune AWS-based workloads for internal IT services and applications.
Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure (AWS):
Devise secure and scalable infrastructure within AWS, encompassing EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, and Route53.
Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) through Terraform to deploy AWS resources.
Ensure seamless interoperability between AWS and on-premises clusters.
Infrastructure Services:
Sustain core services: Grafana, Syslog, MySQL, AWX/Ansible Tower.
Guarantee integration with monitoring and centralized logging platforms across cloud and on-premises environments.
CI/CD & Automation:
Collaborate with developer architects to deliver Continuous Delivery platforms.
Administer and optimize GitLab Runners, runners in AWS, and enhance pipeline efficiency.
Construct secure, scalable, and context-aware pipelines spanning on-premises and cloud workloads.
Service Catalog & DevOps Enablement:
Define modular service primitives and contribute to an internal service catalog.
Promote self-service automation and standardized service delivery.
Source of Truth Integration:
Maintain infrastructure metadata utilizing NetBox.
Integrate NetBox with provisioning workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
Job requirements
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of proven expertise in Linux system administration and infrastructure architecture, with a preference for Debian.
Demonstrated proficiency in managing VMware ESX or Nutanix clusters.
Professional background in designing and managing workloads within AWS.
Advanced knowledge of GitLab, encompassing CI/CD, runners, and pipeline templates.
Expertise in Ansible, AWX/Ansible Tower, and Terraform.
Hands-on experience with Grafana, Syslog/Graylog, and MySQL/MariaDB.
Practical understanding of hybrid architectures bridging on-premises and cloud environments.
Working familiarity with NetBox as a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and automation resource.
Exceptional communication skills and a penchant for meticulous documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Holding AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional.
Proven track record in implementing secure and compliant AWS workloads, including IAM policies, network segmentation, and logging mechanisms.
Comprehensive grasp of Agile methodologies and a focus on product-driven service design.
Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting for automation and integration purposes.
Experience in constructing internal cloud-like platforms or developer portals.
